Lars Magnus
Probably anyone knows that Ericsson is a surname. Many people could understand that a man with this surname should be born in Sweden or in some other country in Scandinavia. Some of them will suppose that this man died already.
However few people know about his life in detail. Few people know that his name was Lars Magnus, that first phones in capitol of Russian Empire Saint-Petersburg appeared thanks to his company, that he made much to help Swedish industry to rise. He was an excellent engineer and a good manager, competent businessman and a man of good morals. Not too many people had these streaks earlier: there is no doubt about it for today.
There is one great (because of its actions, not its size) organization in Sweden: Centrum för Näringslivshistoria, which stands for Centre for Business History. In cooperation with Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson they have created a really interesting website about history of Ericsson: http://www.ericssonhistory.com.
